Encounter Nights at OLL

The National Eucharistic Revival is an opportunity for all Catholics to seek a deeper connection with Jesus by encountering him anew in the Eucharist. No matter where you are in your faith, you can draw closer to Christ and become more united with the members of his Body as well. That’s our vision for Encounter Nights, which will take place throughout the 2023–2024 year at Our Lady of the Lake. Parishioners and their guests of all ages and stages are invited—we want everyone there, especially at the Encounter Night with the choir! Each night will have two parts: a holy hour and a social hour. See the back of this flier for details on each event taking place this fall. Stay tuned for information on winter and spring events.

Eucharistic Adoration at OLL

Will you spend one hour with Jesus?

Eucharistic Adoration is prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. It helps us to acknowledge that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, worship and grow closer to him, and participate more fully in the holy sacrifice of the Mass.

At OLL, the Eucharist is exposed for Adoration in the chapel every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the first Friday of every month following the 9 a.m. Mass until 9 p.m. While drop-ins are always welcome, we currently need more people to commit to a consistent holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament. National Eucharistic Congress

July 17-21, 2024 — Indianapolis, Indiana

Registration is open for the 10th National Eucharistic Congress at eucharisticcongress.org! Join your Catholic brothers and sisters as we encounter the living Jesus Christ, experience profound renewal, and are sent out on mission for the life of the world.

This milestone moment in the National Eucharistic Revival initiated by the U.S. Bishops is a reinstitution of a powerful and fruitful tradition not seen in America since the start of World War II. This five-day event will include catechetical sessions, breakouts, concerts, prayer experiences, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and multiple Masses from various liturgical rites offered daily, with a final liturgical celebration on the last day that will unite all participants in worship of the Eucharist.

What Is the Eucharistic Revival?

The National Eucharistic Revival is a three-year grassroots revival of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist that is being called for by the bishops of the United States. The bishops believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, unified, and sent on mission by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist. These three years will culminate in the first National Eucharistic Congress in the United States in almost fifty years. At OLL, the Eucharistic Revival will be woven into all that we do as a parish from now through 2025. Stay tuned for more details!

Reverence for the Eucharist Video Series

As part of this year’s Reverence for the Eucharist Awareness Week at West Catholic High School, graduating senior Caleb Haskell debuted a series of videos he created to help students learn more about the Eucharist. These three videos are an excellent primer on what Catholics actually believe about the Eucharist and how we should respond.
