Become Catholic: RCIA

Are you curious about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church? We would love to help you discern the next step in your spiritual journey. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) “is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fruitfully” (RCIA Introduction).

RCIA is the usual way in which adults and teenagers who are not Catholic become members of the Catholic Church. Those seeking to study and learn more about the Catholic faith, along with those who are interested in potentially becoming Catholic, gather beginning in September.

Those interested in beginning the RCIA process should contact Greg Smith, Director of Ministries, to register and to learn more about the RCIA program at Our Lady of the Lake.
