Reading Buddies and Mass Buddies
Corpus Christi middle school students are partnered up with students in the younger grades as Reading Buddies. For example, the eighth graders had the kindergartners pick out a book to read and keep. Then they taught their Reading Buddies how to play tic-tactoe. The time was filled with sharing our love of reading, learning a new game, making new friendships, and laughter. Middle schoolers also partner with younger students as Mass Buddies to help them get used to praying along with the Mass, respecting others, and showing reverence for our Lord.
