Middle School Advent Retreat
The Corpus Christi middle school students participated in our annual Advent retreat at Our Lady of the Lake. We began preparing for the retreat on Wednesday, November 9, through reflection and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Fr. Michael, Fr. Noah, and Fr. Luis assisted us in this. Then on Wednesday, November 30, we began our retreat with Mass at school and then proceeded to OLL, where we spent the rest of the day. Matt Kilroy—Coach K—assisted us in our activities focused on “Finding Joy in the Lord Through Prayerfulness Is Our Strength and Hope.” Thank you, Coach K, for your time, support, and message. The afternoon was also filled with reflection, a theology of the body activity, creating Christmas cards for veterans, “Bags of Joy,” and more.
