Mission Appeal

Mission Appeal Collection
At All Masses Next Weekend, May 16 – 17, 2026
Every two years, we participate in an additional collection for the Bi-Annual Parish Mission Appeal. We will host this year’s missionary and take up the collection at all Masses next weekend, May 16 -17. Find a giving envelope inserted into this week’s bulletin or in a basket in the Narthex. You may also choose to give online by clicking the button below and selecting “Mission Co-op” from the fund drop-down selection.
The purpose of this appeal is aligned with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Statement “To the Ends of the Earth”, in which missionaries share with us their experiences as well as the faith experiences of the people they serve. Our faith is then deepened and broadened as we learn from them.
Society of St. Peter the Apostle
This year’s Mission Appeal will be led by Fr. Augustine, Vice President of the Pontifical Society of St. Peter the Apostle, one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies of the Church and a special instrument of the Holy Father for supporting mission seminaries around the world. Through this Pontifical Society, the Holy Father encourages prayer and sacrificial offerings so that seminarians and novices in mission dioceses—often in places of great material poverty—may receive solid spiritual, human, and academic formation.
During his visit, Fr. Augustine will share how our prayers and generosity help build up local clergy and the consecrated life in young Churches, and how our parish can more deeply share in the Church’s universal mission of proclaiming the Gospel. Please plan to join us, listen to Fr. Augustine’s message, and prayerfully consider how the Lord may be inviting you to support vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the missions. Find more information about Fr. Augustine and his mission in the document below.
