Purpose of the Team
Our Lady of the Lake’s safety team will provide our parish with a team of dedicated, trained individuals who will identify, respond to, and manage medical needs and unwanted events during weekend Masses and other approved events.
Who Are We Looking For?
Our Lady of the Lake’s Safety Team will consist of people who meet the following criteria:

- Registered parishioners at Our Lady of the Lake
- 18 years of age or older
- Willing to complete the training as directed by the Safety Team Facilitator
- Committed to their scheduled service time
- Able to provide the functions of the safety team during their scheduled service
Location of Service
The safety team will perform their duties on church grounds and interior buildings of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Required Training
The safety team members will be trained in the following areas. Previous training is not required, but welcome.

- Lay rescue medical first aid
- CPR
- Effective communication
- De-escalation techniques
- Building security
- Situational awareness
- Proper response and containment
- Additional training as determined by the Safety Team Facilitator
