Baptism Preparation

Baptism is a profound sacrament that welcomes a person into the Catholic Church and begins their life in Christ. It is the gateway to Christian life, where we are regenerated or “born again,” cleansed of original sin, and incorporated into the Church community. It is a public and communal celebration, where parents, godparents, and the parish community vow to support and foster the child’s Catholic faith throughout their life.

The Church emphasizes baptizing infants soon after birth. If you are considering having your infant or young child baptized, please follow the steps below to ensure your preparation runs smoothly:

  1. Review our policies and guidelines in the document below.
  2. Complete the Baptism Inquiry Form found below or in the guideline document.
  3. Schedule an appointment with our Director of Ministries.
  4. Once the baptism is approved, our Director of Ministries will work closely with you on the next steps, including completing the baptism preparation course, submitting godparent affidavits, and completing the informational registration form.
