Parish Picnic and Marian Procession

Sunday, August 15

The Solemnity of the Assumption is on a Sunday this year, and there’s no better day for our annual parish picnic! Following the 11 a.m. Mass, there will be a procession to honor our Blessed Mother, who is the patroness of our parish. The procession will begin outside the front doors and end at the picnic location on the parish lawn (near the corner of 152nd and James). Everyone is invited to participate, but you may also go directly to the picnic. Food
will be served once the procession has arrived. The picnic will include live music and games. The rain location for the picnic is the hall.

We need volunteers to make our parish picnic a success! Please contact Miki Brierty at or 616-399-1062 ext. 108.

We also need four tall people to carry the litter with the statue of our Lady at the front of the procession. Please contact Cory Lakatos at or 616-399-1062 ext. 110.

Everyone is invited to bring flowers from your garden to decorate the processional litter.
