Prayer and Support for Ukraine
On Friday, March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, Pope Francis consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Bishops, priests, and lay faithful around the globe joined their prayers with the pope’s, including our bishop and our parish. You can still pray the consecration on your own.
Bishop Walkowiak is encouraging us to pray for peace: “Pray the Rosary, go to Mass, fast, pray the Divine Mercy chaplet, or Pope Francis’ Prayer for Peace.”
In addition to praying, you can offer help by donating to the following agencies providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine:
- Catholic Relief Services
- Archeparchy of Philadelphia
- You may also mail a check to: Ukrainian Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, 810 North Franklin Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123 (please write “Humanitarian Aid Fund for Ukraine” on the memo line)
