Alpha Youth Series
For Current 8th-12th Grade Students
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each session looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
Alpha will meet weekly beginning Wednesday, May 2 at Corpus Christi School from 7-9 p.m. We’ll begin with a meal, listen to a brief talk, and then enter into a time of sharing and dialogue. This will be a chance for our young people to deepen their own faith, but even more so, an opportunity for them to reach out to their friends who may have fallen away from the Church, those who might practice a different faith, or even those who do not profess any creed at all.
Alpha is completely free. We just ask that you register ahead of time so we have an idea of how much food to prepare. If you know your friend is coming, have them register as well. If it is last minute and your friends want to come, BRING THEM even if they are not registered.
At Alpha, everyone is invited to explore the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. To aid in the invitation process, we have created business cards that teens can pick up on the Youth Table in Fr. Nash Hall so they can distribute them to their friends, classmates, coworkers, etc. These cards contain the dates and locations of the gatherings.

STEUBENVILLE YOUTH CONFERENCE
“In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.” – 1 John 4:9
We live in a world where there are voices shouting at us from all sides, trying to tell us who we are and who we aren’t, who we should be and who we shouldn’t be. If we pay too much attention to these voices, it won’t be long before we forget our true identity altogether.
But amidst all the noise is our loving Father, who wants to make Himself known to us and speak truth about who we are. God’s love is deeper and His plan for our lives is greater than anything the world has to offer – will we allow Him to reveal it to us?
This summer, over 50,000 Catholic teens across North America will participate in 25 Steubenville Youth Conferences, and we want you to be one of them! Come experience the love of God in a new and more profound way. He has so much in store for you!
Life Night: All students in grades 9 – 12 are invited to attend Life Night each Sunday night, September – May, in Fr. Nash Hall from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Each night includes games, catechesis, small groups, and prayer. The nights focus on a range of catechetical topics or social issues (i.e. drinking, gossip, chastity, etc.), or sometimes serve as a social activity to grow in relationship with other young Catholics.
Summit is a small discipleship group that meets weekly to dive into the Sunday readings so High School teens can gain a deeper understanding of Sacred Scripture and the Holy Mass. Take a break from studying and join us in Room 7 (located in Fr. Nash Hall at the parish) Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00. Bring your friends! All are welcome!
Life Teen Registration forms are available on the Discipleship Information Page or under the Forms tab on the Parish Home Page.
