Outreach Programs
About:
This Ministry, enkindled by the Holy Spirit, seeks to lead more
parishioners to become Christ's disciples and faithful stewards by
sharing their time, talent and resources with those in need.
Peace and Justice Committee: Plans
and implements projects to raise consciousness of Catholic Social
Justice Teachings. Regular meetings are the second Monday of the month
at 6:30.

The Peace and Justice Newsletter is distributed in the
bulletin on the third weekend of the month. It is also available at

JustFaith is an intensive 32 week program designed to
empower and transform participants so that they can become voices for
the voiceless and agents of God’s Good News to the poor. Registration
occurs before the fall sessions begin.

Sponsorship for the Lakeside Summit on Racism

Representation of the Parish on the Immigration Task Force
and Faith in Motion
Food Pantry: Distribution of non
perishable foods collected weekly from parishioners.
Gleaners: Collaborative effort
with Second Harvest Gleaners to distribute perishable foods and
commodities on the first Tuesday of each month. Parishioners are
involved with the distribution process and by making tax-exempt
contributions to Second Harvest Gleaners into Our Lady of the Lake Mobil
Food Account.
Habitat for Humanity: Annual
UNITY BUILD when through a working partnership with other churches we
assist in construction of a house for a homeless family.
Crop Walk: · Provide registration
and information regarding this annual walk to assist with world hunger
needs.
The Migrant Farmworker Ministry:
During the summer, parishioners offer a weekly story hour reading
program in the camp.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets: In
conjunction with St. Francis deSales Parish, food baskets are prepared
and distributed by our ninth graders and adult volunteers.
Prison/Jail Ministry:
Participation with the Diocesan Jail ministry to:

provide prayer services at the Ottawa County Jail

collect gifts at Christmas time for inmates
