At Our Lady of the Lake we strive to make First Eucharist preparation and celebration a special time for the whole family to reflect on the great mystery of Jesus becoming part of us as we gather at the table each Sunday for Eucharist.
Our Expectations of Parents:
  • Bring your child to class weekly and review your child’s lesson at home during the week
  • Participate in Sunday Eucharist as a family every Sunday
  • Help your child memorize the prayers listed in the Parent Handbook- Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary, Our Father and Glory Be
  • Attend the fall or winter session Rooted in Faith (or previous attendance at the Basics in the Faith)
  • Attend the Eucharist Parent Meeting in Januaryand complete the checklist given out there
What you can expect from us:
  • To be well prepared for the First Eucharist Parent Meeting and First Eucharist Retreat
  • To provide excellent resources for you to supplement the classroom preparation at home
  • To have excellent, clear handouts and schedules
  • To plan for a quality celebration of First Eucharist for your child/family
